Welcome to the 8th edition of the 5 To Follow Competition KZN season. Competition commences on 21st May (Betting World 1900 G2) and finishes on 7th August (Umgeni Handicap L and The Darley Arabian L). Entries close noon, 19th May. Entry is FREE. The Interbet 5 to follow competition enters the final week with proceedings drawing to a close on Saturday (Chairman’s Cup Day).
Adriaan Elijah ( 222 points) has swept into a 10 point lead with Sunsational’s Gr 3 win in the Prix Du Cap on Saturday and looks the likely winner with just the two meetings remaining. Second placed Sanjith Pancham (212) is a further 13 points clear of Hayden (199 points). It is a close race for the balance of the top 10 contenders who will all be vying to finish in the prizes.
Both Elijah and Pancham do not have any runners this week which will make the first two positions a mere formality.

It went down to the wire as expected but Bill of Rights turned out to be the deciding factor when Big Nick stole a 6 point lead over his rivals with his selection in the Canon Gold Cup. The third placed finish sealed the competition for Nico van Niekerk who wins himself a R3000 Interbet betting voucher and an LCD computer screen.
