Post Race Comments: Found the pace of the Derby a little bit too hot to handle at this stage. He was handily placed early on but couldn’t manage to maintain the gallop throughout. He probably needs a little more time to mature. Race Report Durbanville, 4/4/09 Event: Race 6, The Morning Star Progress Plate Distance: 1400m Finished: 1st Post Race Comments: Was placed 1st after an objection by the Stipendiary Stewards, as the initial winner carried him right across the course in the closing stages of the race. It was a very good run from him first time back over this trip. He ran on strongly from the back of the field and should come on from this run. He could have gone a lot closer but for this. Race Report Kenilworth, 31/5/09 Event: Race 7, Winter Classic (Grade 3) Distance: 1800m Finished: 6th Post Race Comments: Had a nice spot and was traveling well but unfortunately stumbled quite badly before coming into the straight, causing him to lose a bit of ground. He was never really traveling the same after that. He seems to be holding his form better now. He ran on quite well, but could make no impression. We may try a little further next time. Report Greyville, 5/6/10 Event: Race 8, Lonsdale Stirrup Cup (Grade 3) Distance: 2400m Finished: 8th Post Race Comments: Grisham was well placed early on but steadily got shuffled back and was too far out of his ground turning for home in a slow run race. He ran on well but would have finished a lot closer had he been better placed Race Report Scottsville, 2/7/10 Event: Race 7, Open Merit Rated 92 Handicap Distance: 1950m Finished: 6th Post Race Comments: Was traveling well initially, but halfway round the turn, his hind leg slipped slightly and thereafter he was never going well. He also returned coughing which indicates internal bleeding.
