He came through from midfield to win and outstanding race. He still seems to be as good as he ever was. His next run will probably be the Queen’s Plate and then the J & B Met. Race Report Kenilworth, 20/12/08 Event: Race 6, WPOTA Diadem Stakes (WFA) (Grade 2) Distance: 1200m Finished: 2nd Post Race Comments: As usual put up a scintillating performance in this top class sprint race to finish 2nd ahead of Rebel King. This was an outstanding run and he was beaten only by his stable companion, Blue Tiger, who put up a virtually unbeatable performance. Race Report Kenilworth, 10/01/09 Event: Race 8, L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate (WFA) (Grade 1) Distance: 1600m Finished: 1st Post Race Comments: Probably ran one of his best races to date as he easily accounted for this very strong Group 1 field. In winning this race for the third year in a row, he must go down as one of the best horses that raced in South Africa. We expect him to maintain his form and look forward to his next run in the Met. He demolished the field over a distance short of his best. He is racing quite sound this season and this performance from a handy position was as awesome as the last. It was an astounding feat from him to come back so quickly after a very short prep and produce the level of performance that he did. It was amazing to say the least. He took his run well. He took his run well and looks to be on the track for the Met. I feel that he ran his usual race, but found the two fillies just too good on the day. He had no excuses, the two fillies ran outstanding races. He pulled up sore in front and behind and will now be rested. Race Report Greyville, 21/5/10 Event: Race 6, Pinnacle Stakes Distance: 1400m Finished: 1st Post Race Comments: Great run from the champ. The race was run particularly slowly to try and beat him, but he managed to get going in time and caught them just short of the line to win going away. Race Report Clairwood, 12/6/10 Event: Race 8, Rising Sun Gold Challenge (Grade 1) Distance: 1600m Finished: 3rd Post Race Comments: Ran a very satisfactory race, but as it turned out, Blue Tiger set a bristling pace and it was just too much to get to his stable companion at this stage. We are very happy with his performance and we believe he is on his way up and his next run will be even better. Under the conditions on the day, we think this was a very good run as he was beaten only by the two front running light weights.
